I
slipped into the jacket and latched the repeating circles onto my wrist. The
bottom of the coat stopped just where the broad lines of the dress changed from
horizontal to vertical. “What do you think?” I asked Samantha.
“You
look stunning,” a deep male voice responded. I turned around and found Stay
smiling at me.
“Wow
Stay,” Sam said before I could respond. “Looking mighty handsome. If I didn’t
know any better, I’d think this is a date.”
Stayman
looked sharp in his black dress pants, matching coat, and dark-gray dress
shirt. I gazed at him but was at a loss for words. We stared at each other for
a second.
Sam
saved me by saying, “Stay, there’s a wire mannequin in the attic that I’d like
brought down, and Lane and I can’t lift it. I wondered if you could do that for
us. Not now. I wouldn’t want you to mess up your clothes, but—”
As
he removed his coat, he said, “It shouldn’t take long and I’ll just take off my
shirt.”

He started unbuttoning as both Samantha
and I watched as he slowly revealed his chest. Stay slipped out of his shirt
and laid it neatly on top of his jacket.
His
smooth, lean torso was highly defined and I got caught staring at his chest. He
winked at me and then said to Sam, “Come on and show me the way.”
Once
they walked away, I glared into the mirror and said, “Don’t even think about
it.”
Minutes
later, he had managed to carry the mannequin down.
“Let’s
put it in the back,” I said, leading the way. “It needs to be cleaned up before
it can be out on the floor.” I showed him where to put it. Scanning his
physique from his head to his shoes, I noticed that he continued to let his
golden-brown hair grow in and chose to where black boots instead of dress

shoes. To make matters worse, his five o’clock shadow was incredibly sexy. Damn, he looks hot. Look away girl, just
look away!
 “Here,”
I said, holding out a lint roller, but not making eye contact.
Some
dust had settled on the front of his pants just over the zipper area. “You
don’t want to help?”
I
turned away and said, “Go get dressed.”
“Are
you sure that’s your final decision?”
“Very
sure.” My rapidly beating heart settled down once his clothing was back on.
“Are
you ready to go?” he asked.
“Let
me go grab my clothes bag and my clutch and I will be.” Sam followed me into my
office.
“He
looks hot!” she exclaimed. “He must really like you. I’ve never seen him
dressed up before.”
“Stop
it,” I said, making sure my dress lay straight.
“Forget
about MM for the night,” she said to me with a serious expression. She pulled
the tag off my jacket.
“That’s
not possible. Thanks for closing up and helping with the outfit.”
“No
problem.

A series of games start, each one more devious than the last.

AUTHOR BIO:

Indie author, writing anything that pops into my head ... which happens to usually be kinda crazy and a lot dirty. Working out of an undisclosed location in Alaska (where the need for a creative mind is a necessity), I have been writing since ..., forever? Yeah, that sounds about right. I have been told that I remind people of Lucille Ball - I also see shades of Jennifer Saunders, and Denis Leary. So basically, I laugh a lot, I'm clumsy a lot, and I say the F-word A LOT.

I like dogs more than I like most people, and I don't trust anyone who doesn't drink. No, I do not live in an igloo, and no, the sun does not set for six months out of the year, there's your Alaska lesson for the day.           My heart feels like it’s about to beat right out of my chest. Tanner is looking at me like he’s not good enough to touch me and like he can’t keep his fucking hands off me all at the same time. I inhale deep, my breath shaky as I try to find the words to say. I want to talk about it more – about what she is to him, about when she’s coming and what I’m going to have to deal with – but right now all I can think about is how his hands feel on my waist, and how I wish he would touch every inch of my body with those hands.

          “Kiss me,” I breathe.

Tanner doesn’t waste another second. His lips find mine, soft and gentle at first, but then a fire consumes us both and I’m biting his neck as he lifts me from my chair. He kisses down my collarbone and then back up to my ear, sending chills cascading down my arms and legs. I moan softly, running my fingers through his hair and tugging a little as I pull his lips back to mine. He slides his tongue between my lips and takes my mouth, deepening the kiss as his hands explore my body.

“How long until dinner?” he pants between kisses.

          “Maybe twenty minutes.”

“That’ll do,” he replies, carrying me to the couch.

Tanner’s hands are hungry as he positions himself on top of me, pulling the straps of my tank top down to kiss my shoulders. He nips and sucks softly, trailing a line from my shoulders, to my neck, across my collar bone, and back again. Slowly, he kisses a little lower, sucking at the swell just above the hem of my top. I inhale sharply, my fingers gripping his hair.

“You taste so sweet,” he mumbles against my skin, lighting it on fire. He lifts my shirt and slowly kisses down my stomach, stopping just above the hem of my shorts. He blazes a trail of fire with his tongue from one hip to the other, working the buttons and zipper until he has my shorts loose enough to pull down my shaking legs and throw across the room. He smiles up at me, his sexy half grin silently killing me, and then he completely takes my breath away – because he pulls my panties off with his teeth.

          With. His. Teeth.

Suddenly, my heart is beating in my throat. I’m not a virgin, but I’m definitely no where near as experienced as Tanner, no matter how cocky my façade may be. My legs are shaking uncontrollably and I feel it start to move up to my hands. Tanner stops kissing my thighs and looks up at me, concern laden on his face.

“Are you okay?” he asks, moving to position himself on top of me again. He brushes the hair from my face and pulls my shaking hand to his lips, kissing my fingers softly as he waits for me to reply.

I nod, though not confidently. “I hate admitting this to you, but I’m not that experienced.”

He smiles devilishly, his eyes lighting the fire in my stomach again. “You think I don’t know that? Why do you think I’m going so slow?”

I let out of a puff of air, “This is slow?”

His grin grows wider, “Trust me – if I had it my way, your ankles would have been on my shoulders the first night I saw you.”

_I RECEIVED AND ARC IN EXCHANGE OF AN HONEST REVIEW___

Okay....Here we go!

PLOT: Only forming relationships with men who can only stick around for a few weeks due to their duties in the Military, Paisley Bronson is a notorious "Tag Chaser". 27 years old, extremely successful in her career, and outwardly seems to have a relatively decent life. But there's a reason she only dates men who she cant get attached to. Right?

Finally sick of her friends "tag chasing" ways, McKenzie (Paisley's best friend) makes a bet with her. Be a tag chaser....orrrrrrr! McKenzie's cherished pair of Jimmy Choo's. The terms of the bet are stated. They shake on it. Bet's on!

A chance meeting on the dance floor introduces us to Corbin "sexy-as-hell" Ray. Thinking that maybe Corbin could be her "Average Joe", Paisley decides to go for it. But Corbin isn't her Average Joe...Corbin's in the ARMY. Just another "tag".

REVIEW: This book was exceptionally well written. It honestly has a little bit of everything in it. A challenge, drama, love, lust, REALLY hot love scenes, a love triangle of sorts, and of course, a little bit of mystery. Why does Paisley "chase tags"? What happened that has her so afraid of commitment?

Following Paisley throughout this book was a little bit like looking in a mirror. Every girl, and I mean EVERY girl, has their bouts with insecurities. Paisley is no exception. And there's nothing I LOVE more in a book, than actually being able to SYMPATHIZE with a character. It's one thing to read along and think to yourself "poor girl, I can't even imagine what she's going through," but it's another thing entirely when you can say "poor girl. I know exactly what you're going through. And that's one reason I loved this book so much. Because it was SO easy to relate.

Another reason I loved this book is of course Mr. Sexy as Hell. Corbin Ray is...well...sexy as hell. The second he's introduced into the story will have you swooning and wishing you were Paisley. (I know I did.) A man with a sweet side, and sexuality emanating off of him...what's not to love??

But then there's Tanner....who's Tanner you ask?? Well...I dunnooooo! You'll just have to read and find out!!!

This book was humorous, sweet, sexy, dramatic, and overall an extremely enjoyable read! I would definitely recommend this book to every romance reader out there!

Thank you Kandi for the amazing read!!

★☆★☆4 Star Review!★☆★☆ Ledger by Kemmie Michaels

Synopsis
Ledger sees the defeat in her eyes the moment she sits at the bar, devastated and beautiful. The emptiness in her gaze he understands to his core, and he's instantly compelled to help this brown-haired beauty fight the source of her pain. Determined and intense, he needs to use his strength to help her find her own. Cam Foster, in that instant, becomes the dove he wants to free from her cage. From the first night, he needs her.

Cruelly, the past refuses to let her go. The lingering manipulation holds her in that cage as the control she lived under continues to crush the woman she wants to become. Even though Ledger offers her heated passion and a safe haven, she can't find her way out.

Desire and danger fight to pull her life in two directions...but those forces may crumble as Ledger fights harder than any barrier he and his dove face.

____ARC PROVIDED IN EXCHANGE OF HONEST REVIEW____

This book is....pretty damned awesome! Not gonna lie!

Hooking you from the very first page and refusing to let go until the very end! Humor, hot scenes, angst and mystery all kept me turning the pages until, sadly, there weren't any pages left to turn.

PLOT: Camille has spent the last two years of her life trying to live up to Garret Masters' expectations of her. When the true reason behind Garrett's fascination with Camille is revealed, she can't help but feel like the punchline to some ridiculous joke. Her Name?! That's why he was with her, because of the way her name sounded with his. Finally, after having enough, Cami decides to leave the "uppity jackass" and calls for the support of the only friend who stood by her side while Cami played dress up in Garrett's world. Driving away from Garrett's home, Cami finally feels free of the stuffy life she was living. Little does she know, that wont be the last time she sees Garrett.

Crashing on her best friends couch, Cami is starting to feel like a mooch. She's been looking for a job for weeks with no luck. She dropped out of community college, has no references, no job experience, nothing. Garrett left her with nothing. Feeling down and out about her lack of luck in the job department Cami agrees to go out with her best friend, Shelby, to a bar called Second Chances for a few drinks....Are we seeing some foreshadowing here?? I THINK SOOOOOOO :)

Ledger isn't at all what he seems. He isn't just a bartender with a pretty face. (But I'll let you figure out everything else on your own hehe)

Ledger takes an immediate notice to Cami, and she certainly notices him in return. And in a matter of weeks, they seem to be inseparable. AND THAT is why I couldn't rate this boo 5 stars.

REVIEW As hot, and fun, and amazing as Cami and Ledger's relationship is, it all happened way to fast. They were sleeping together, then dating, then in love all in a matter of weeks. That is THE ONLY reason this book didn't get a five star review from me, but aside from that, this book was/is a definite MUST READ.

Perhaps my favorite aspect of this book is watching Cami transform and develop throughout the whole story. From the second she leaves Garrett, Cami evolves, or dissolves, into the old her. The her before Garrett, and his high class status, and uppity parties.

It's nice to have a character that is more complex than just A+B=C ya know? To be able to have all these depths and levels that you get to unravel and reveal throughout the book. THATS the kind of stuff that captivates a reader. THATS the kind of stuff that captivated me in this book.

Kemmie Michaels has weaved an amazing story with so much to absorb. From Cami's insecurities, Ledgers sexy tendencies, and Garrett's psychotic breakdown, there's plenty of story to go around! It's a completely engaging story and had me completely sucked in until the very end!

I highly recommend that anybody with eyes, read this book!
