HLRC zf final ebook

Synopsis
Maddie has been through more tragedy than most people would ever see in their life. She has given up on living, and only living to breathe. With nobody on her side, she has been marked as the cause of her mother’s death and lives with this guilt every day. She is close to giving up until she sets her eyes on the one person who doesn’t look at her with disgust.
Jase is the new guy in school, he was transferred to a new school after moving out of his fathers house into his mothers. But Jase knows about Maddie and knows about her past. He thinks he can keep this a secret and help protect her. When the truth comes out will they be able to survive their worlds being turned upside down? Will their connection be strong enough to make it through? Sometimes love isn't enough...

Trina's Review!
Strength comes in all shapes and sizes but in the case of 5'3 "little" Maddie she was not all that "little". She had more faith and strength than someone twice her size and found love and peace in the end.

Living life just to get through the next few months keep your studies up and don't be seen, and do what you are told, that was all she had to do. Then she could finally start her new life where no one could find her no one knew her and no one could hurt her, be invisible that was how she lived right up until Jase came along. Jase "saw" Maddie and knew he had to "know" her, had to help her, had to save her, had to love her... And that is exactly what he did..

This book was a great and unfortunately short read with a story that you wanted to see the bad guys loose and the good ones win. I am always a sucker for the happy ending and even though Maddie had a lot to overcome and fight for her happy ending and freedom she was able to achieve those things with the one person she never thought she would get to keep..

Taylor's Review
I was given an ARC of this copy for an honest review.

Rachel has had a tough time in the last 5 years since Devin walked out of her life. Using men to try and fill the void Devin left in her all those years ago, Rachel stumbles upon one man, she comes to regret ever inviting into her bed.

When shit hits the fan, who will be there to save her from this monster that's taken over her life, and the demons that threaten to take over her mind?

Devin. Devin, Devin, Devin. GOD I LOVE HIM! Ladies, meeting Devin is like meeting the boyfriend you wish you had, instead of the one your stuck at home with.

Taking a job with SWAT, and having to move across Florida, the last person he expects to find, is Rachel. And he sure as hell didn't plan to find her like this.

Just when I thought Dr. Yummy (AKA Ben) from Living Again, couldn't be beaten....Devin shows up and proves me wrong!

Holy mother of AMAZING BOOKS!!

L.L. Collins does it again with her second book in the Living Again series! Reaching Rachel is an ABSOLUTE MUST READ!!

I read and finished this book in like...oh I dunno..like 6 hours or something like that. Just like in Living Again, this book completely captivates you from the very first page, and doesn't let go of you until the horror of reaching the last page is thrust upon you.

If you're expecting this book to be anything like Living Again...Think again people! While I absolutely LOVED Living Again, I think I loved this book more.

There are so many different things that kept me turning the pages throughout this book. The angst, heartbreak, angst, love, and did I mention angst? Because holy hell there's a LOT of that in this book. Those are all things that had me turning the pages and praying to all the God's out there, that everything works out okay in the end.

In this book, Author LL Collins, tackles some pretty tough issues, and let me just say, she does it FLAWLESSLY!

Just like in Living Again, LL Collins uses her magical mind, awesome characters, and captivating story line, to suck you in and make you feel like part of the story instead of just a reader. You cant help but to stumble, trip, and fall head first into the world Collins creates with these characters, or head first in LOVE with Devin!

This book was 5 fantastically awesome stars, and LL Collins deserves a million more for this book. This will definitely be a book I read again and again and again...and again. :P
Trina's Five Star Review
When the shit hits the fan the shit really hits the fan for poor Rachel in this book! OMG....

I can't even tell you how instantly I fell for Rachel from almost page one.. And not because she was sexy and sassy.. Which those things didn't hurt, but what she endured (my God) and still came out kicking on the other side, well good for her.

After a painful breakup five years ago with the love of her life Devin, Rachel had pretty much lived to survive and get by, friends sure, job yes, men plenty, but did any of them really know her or the things she has given up? Things she has done? Who she really is? UHM... That would be a negative.

One hot steamy night turns into a nightmare for Rachel when her sexy one night stand turns into a complete wack job and almost kills her, but one glance, one thought, one vision right before the end is HIM, or is it? Her one true love she let go all those years ago is there. There to save her, there to get her through the worst night of her life (Devin)

Devin hasn't seen Rachel since the day he hopped on his bike and never looked back. But even after five years apart not a day goes by he hasn't thought of her (and not always in a good way) but now his new job, new town, new life, first assignment for the SWAT team is the face that haunts his dreams (again not in a good way). It is his job to save her, boy oh boy does he save her all right in more ways than one.

L.L.Collins did an amazing job putting us right there with Rachel and Devin and all they have to endure to come out on the other side alive and healthy. I can't even tell you how much I loved this book because 5 starts just really isn't enough.

The moment I picked this book up nothing else mattered till it was over and I was sad to see it end because well let's face it it was just too good... I want a Devin for myself please.... Just one I'm not too needy.. But I do need you all out there to get a copy of this book and see for yourselves just what I am talking about!

Excerpt
Rachel lifted her face and pressed a kiss to her favorite arm her spot. “Devin, all of these years, I’ve been trying so hard to replace you, to make my mind forget by filling it with…men. But, every time, Dev. Every single time, I was disappointed. No one can ever be you because you are the only one for me. And to answer your question, yes. I’m more than okay. That wasn’t just sex, Devin. That was you, bringing me back to life. I want to do that over, and over and over again. And next time,” she rolled over to face him, a glint in her eye. “I want it like I know you wanted to do it this time. Hard, fast, and in whatever position you want it. We had some fabulous times together. Let’s do that again.”

“I want nothing more than to do it all,” Devin said, his voice low. “But don’t mistake what just happened for me just being gentle on you. I wanted to make love to you, to show you what you mean to me. I can tell you all day long, but I wanted you to feel it; feel me. My heart is beating only for you. My body is yours. I love you, Rachel.”

She climbed back on top of him, pressing her body against him. “Devin,” she said, her face even with his. Pressing kisses to his eyes, nose, then lips, her body started shaking. Why was this so hard for her? She knew it like she knew her own name, but saying it was so difficult for her. “I…” She dipped her head down and kissed his ear, running her tongue along it, then his neck. When goose bumps broke out on his body, she grinned against his neck. Going back to his lips, she put her hands against his face and looked at him in the eyes. “I love your eyes,” she whispered. “And your face. God help me, that body is to die for. But Devin?”

“Yes.”

“What I really love?” Rachel paused, willing her body to stop quivering. “Is you. I always have.” There, that wasn’t so bad. “I have since the night I met you, and I’ve never stopped. All this time, all these years, it’s only been you for me, Dev. I know we have shit to work through. But, I love you. I do. I don’t think there will ever be a moment where I’m not completely and totally in love with you.”

★Blog Tour Stop + 5 Star Review★ A Woman Gone Mad by Kimber S. Dawn

Title: A Woman Gone Mad

Author: Kimber S Dawn

Release Date:  January 2, 2013

"I inhaled it! Yes I read it through the new year celebration I just couldn't put it down!!! This book spoke to me, not only is it real and raw, it is what every and I do mean every woman goes through at some point. We all go a little mad sometimes but we are sane and loved it is BEAUTIFUL. Yeah ladies we all have a Nick and a Leo in our lives, the point is which one do we deserve? This is in my opinion sort of every woman's anthology! Go on ladies inhale it, you know you want to!" 10 Stars ~ The Book Fairy

"Loved this story. It was so real and raw it was unlike anything I've read recently." ~ Rose's Book Blog

"Be prepared for swooning, bitching, laughing and ugly crying. My sweet baby mother on all that is holy Kimber SLAYED me!" 5 Stars ~ Sweet and Spicy Books

"Kimber S. Dawn has written a book that will make you want to scream, throw your kindle and be like WTF!? And I mean that in the best way possible. This intriguing journey of Lillian Shaw's self discovery is an amazing read. I am so glad I took a chance on this book and this author." 5 Stars ~ Erin, Give Me Books

Forget everything you know about fairytales. There comes a point in a woman's life when she realizes not everyone gets a happy ending.

And no one knows this better than Lillian Shaw.

The safety of a small southern upbringing and a happy normal family couldn't keep life from chipping away at her.

And nothing leaves its mark like the bite of a broken heart.

Blow after blow, Lillian tries to stay optimistic, but when faced with a choice that could destroy her future, she gives in to the temptation.

When your first true love comes crashing into your happily ever after, you're supposed to walk away. Not fall back in love.

But saying no to Leo was something Lillian could never do...

Once lines are crossed is there any going back?

Or is the risk that Lillian Shaw takes going to leave her broken again...

And this time be enough to make her A Woman Gone Mad?

***Warning: This is not a shy and tender fairytale love story. It's a raw, tragic, and gritty story inspired by true events. This book is not for the faint of heart, it contains graphic language, sex, violence, and drug use. MATURE Audiences Only. Not intended for young adult readers.***

***I received and ARC of this book as part of a blog tour, and for honest review***

So. Wow.

First off, this book is not for the feint hearted. It touches on some pretty tough shit, but holy hell is it amazing!

When I first started reading this book, I didn’t think I’d be able to get into it. I mean Lillian is crazy. Like she-hears-voices crazy. But man am I glad I kept reading!

If you’re looking for a quick easy read, keep on looking. If you’re looking for something light, and happy, keep on looking. If you're looking for a fairy tale...again I say, keep on looking. But if you’re looking for a book that is crazy (pun intended), full of real life situations, and that’s a quite a bit off from the norm in a knock you on your ass kind of way, then you my friend, have found your book.

Lillian Shaw has had it rough. Now I won’t tell you what happened in her life that made it “rough”, because you’ll just have to read it yourself to find out. HOWEVER, I will tell you, while reading this book: 1) remember just how much you love your kindle/nook/e-reader at all times. 2) Before you start this, head to your local grocery store, find the biggest box of Kleenex you can, and bring that bad boy home. 3) Alcohol (preferably Jack Daniels’) or cigarettes (if you are of age) is a must. I had so much damn anxiety while reading this book, that cigarettes (although I already smoke) became a damn necessity.

Once you’ve completed those three steps, ONLY THEN should you start this book.

Talk about a fucking roller coaster. I have never been so happy for a character, only to have my heart ripped out and fed back to me on a silver platter, as many times as I did while reading this book.

I think that’s what makes this book so epic though. Don’t get me wrong. I LOVE your typical “girl meets ONE guy, falls in love, and they live happily ever after” stories. But in this book it isn’t just ONE guy. It’s several. Getting to watch Lillian grow up and fall in love time and time again was so goddamned refreshing, because it was so REAL. Practically every woman, goes through a Nick or a Leo once in their life time. In real life, (most of the time) people don’t just have ONE amazing relationship that lasts a lifetime. They have several, and although they don’t last forever, they do shape you for a lifetime.

Kimber really does an amazing fucking job with this book. It felt as though she picked me up out of bed (my favorite reading spot) and not so gently dropped me on my ass right in the middle of Lily’s turmoil filled life.

FIVE HUGELY GIAGANTIC STARS!

Do yourself a huge fucking favor and buy this book!

Hey, I'm Kimber, and I really freaking hope you enjoyed AWGM! Visit my website www.authorkimbersdawn.com or Throw me a review up on my FB page, www.facebook.com/AWGMbyKimberDawn or Goodreads if you loved it! I am a whore for reviews. Ahh... let's see, what can I tell you about my self... Well, first of all I'm a straight up whore for many, many things. I'm a wine whore, some would say I'm a functional alcoholic, and I'm totally cool with that title. Now the day my cheese completely falls off my cracker and I lose the functional in that title, well yeah never mind. Even then I'll deny that shit. I'm a whore for Victoria's Secret, no seriously, like my VS Angel's Credit Card stays maxed out, hey, they got cool shit. I have a whole lot of hats, meaning I can be called a billon different things, daughter, wife, mother, labor unit nurse, I sell pussy on the side *coughs* that would be persian kittens, thank you you dirty minded scoundrel, I'm also compulsive blackjack addict, book blogger, book pimp, book whore, Jack Daniels is my favorite boyfriend and my biggest dream, the day I'll acknowledge that I've succeeded in life and can a die a happy woman is the day I get to go two stark naked hour round sexual bouts with Jason Statham. *Sighs* I started writing poems and short stories very early in my life, you know for the Michael's and Leo's and Nick's in my life. I've been a book hoarder since I was eleven years old, but then a couple years ago something wonderful happened! The 50 shades of Grey craze brought to life my inner smut whore where I commenced to read anything and everything smut affiliated. When reading wasn't enough any anymore and I noticed that so many of the authors of my favorite books weren't getting the exposure their work deserved I turned it into a mission, starting my own blog, buying their books and reading them one by one, I then wrote my reviews for my blog and didn't hold back in writing them. I've never done a single thing in my life half way, I always go all in. After the success of my Blog, and the insistence of one of my bestest friends, my sister from another mister, Trina Taylor of Bad & DirtyBooks I was ready to finally take the plunge and write the story that's been restlessly clawing to get out of my head and onto paper for a VERY long time. I'm a southern girl to my core, a self proclaimed smut whore, andI guess now we can add aspiring author to my hat collection as well.

Tattooed across my ribs are the words I have always lived by 'Aut viam inveniam aut faciam tibi' Latin for: If I can not find a way, I will make my own.

★Cover Reveal★ Broken Wings by Erika Ashby

Pageflex Persona [document: PRS0000039_00001]

Synopsis
Lynsie Fox has what she considers to be a perfect life. Married to Lincoln, a military pilot, she's living the Army life she's always loved. Being a sucker for great love stories, Lynsie makes it her mission to find Lincoln's best friend and co-pilot, Dax Adams, a good woman.
Losing the one woman he's ever loved, Dax attempts to be a good sport by playing along in Lynsie's match-making scheme. However, Dax is certain he will never get the woman of his dreams.
But life doesn't always fly smoothly. When turbulence strikes, Lynsie watches her world crash and burn around her, leaving her empty with broken wings. Despite her grief, can she mend the pieces back together and learn to fly again?
Excerpt
I’m instantly nervous as soon as I see his name flashing on the screen of my phone. I wipe my clammy hand against my apron as I hesitate to push answer. My father never calls me when he’s at work, and knowing that Lincoln is training today, I fear the worst.
“What’s wrong, dad?” I answer with panic evident in my voice.
My dad’s soothing voice instantly persuades my worry to ease. “Lynsie, I know you’re at work, but I’m glad you answered.”
“I know you are too, and that you wouldn’t call me unless something was wrong. Is it Lincoln? Is everything okay?” I sit hunched over in my chair bracing myself for what’s to come.
“Yes, Lincoln is fine.” He sighs. “It’s Travis Robinson.” I let that name bounce around as I try to figure out if it’s a name I should be familiar with. Nothing is coming to me as I wait for my dad to continue. “Lincoln and Travis joined the Army the same year. They had flown Apache’s together back in Savannah early on in their careers. They even went to Fixed Wing Training and did some other overseas training together. I’m pretty sure you’ve never actually met him, because this all took place before you met Lincoln.”
“Okay. So, what’s going on?”
“He died today.” I gasp causing everyone within ear distance to look my way. “He was doing Recon training in Texas this past month and something went horribly wrong today during a normal routine. Anyways, I’m calling you because I know Lincoln and him were actually very close…as close as you can get with one of your fellow pilots with all the moving around that takes place. I just want you to be prepared for when he gets home this afternoon. I haven’t told him yet, but as soon as he lands his plane and gets in, I’m going to. He’s going to need you, Lyns.”
The silence a reminder of when I was younger and my father lost one of his dear friends. He knew the chances of it happening to a fellow pilot or himself were highly likely in this job field. But he’d always say, “Shit happens and you can’t live your life in fear of it”.
I guess that’s the truth, but sometimes I wonder why people purposely put themselves in positions that the probability of something horrible taking place outweigh the likelihood that it won’t.
“Is it still hard for you?” I ask questioning if after ten years, the death of a friend gets any easier to deal with.
“It doesn’t hurt as bad, if that’s what you mean. But every time I’m up in the sky, I think about him, and everyone I’ve known that has died doing what we love.”
It’s times like these that make me frightful of my husband’s job. Typically the only time fear rises up in us Army spouses is when the threat of war or being sent overseas arises. But in all reality, that’s not the case. Death can easily be creeping its way up our doorstep. It very well could be hanging out in our backyard just wanting for the most unexpected time to strike. I shake my head of that looming fear that plays with my mind every so often, and pull my act together knowing my husband is going to need his supportive wife at his side—not a weak, scared one, who wants to second guess his passion in life.
