Title: A Woman Gone Mad
Author: Kimber S Dawn
Release Date: January 2, 2013
"I inhaled it! Yes I read it through the new year celebration I just couldn't put it down!!! This book spoke to me, not only is it real and raw, it is what every and I do mean every woman goes through at some point. We all go a little mad sometimes but we are sane and loved it is BEAUTIFUL. Yeah ladies we all have a Nick and a Leo in our lives, the point is which one do we deserve? This is in my opinion sort of every woman's anthology! Go on ladies inhale it, you know you want to!" 10 Stars ~ The Book Fairy
"Loved this story. It was so real and raw it was unlike anything I've read recently." ~ Rose's Book Blog
"Be prepared for swooning, bitching, laughing and ugly crying. My sweet baby mother on all that is holy Kimber SLAYED me!" 5 Stars ~ Sweet and Spicy Books
"Kimber S. Dawn has written a book that will make you want to scream, throw your kindle and be like WTF!? And I mean that in the best way possible. This intriguing journey of Lillian Shaw's self discovery is an amazing read. I am so glad I took a chance on this book and this author." 5 Stars ~ Erin, Give Me Books
Forget everything you know about fairytales. There comes a point in a woman's life when she realizes not everyone gets a happy ending.
And no one knows this better than Lillian Shaw.
The safety of a small southern upbringing and a happy normal family couldn't keep life from chipping away at her.
And nothing leaves its mark like the bite of a broken heart.
Blow after blow, Lillian tries to stay optimistic, but when faced with a choice that could destroy her future, she gives in to the temptation.
When your first true love comes crashing into your happily ever after, you're supposed to walk away. Not fall back in love.
But saying no to Leo was something Lillian could never do...
Once lines are crossed is there any going back?
Or is the risk that Lillian Shaw takes going to leave her broken again...
And this time be enough to make her A Woman Gone Mad?
***Warning: This is not a shy and tender fairytale love story. It's a raw, tragic, and gritty story inspired by true events. This book is not for the faint of heart, it contains graphic language, sex, violence, and drug use. MATURE Audiences Only. Not intended for young adult readers.***

So. Wow.
First off, this book is not for the feint hearted. It touches on some pretty tough shit, but holy hell is it amazing!
When I first started reading this book, I didn’t think I’d be able to get into it. I mean Lillian is crazy. Like she-hears-voices crazy. But man am I glad I kept reading!
If you’re looking for a quick easy read, keep on looking. If you’re looking for something light, and happy, keep on looking. If you're looking for a fairy tale...again I say, keep on looking. But if you’re looking for a book that is crazy (pun intended), full of real life situations, and that’s a quite a bit off from the norm in a knock you on your ass kind of way, then you my friend, have found your book.
Lillian Shaw has had it rough. Now I won’t tell you what happened in her life that made it “rough”, because you’ll just have to read it yourself to find out. HOWEVER, I will tell you, while reading this book: 1) remember just how much you love your kindle/nook/e-reader at all times. 2) Before you start this, head to your local grocery store, find the biggest box of Kleenex you can, and bring that bad boy home. 3) Alcohol (preferably Jack Daniels’) or cigarettes (if you are of age) is a must. I had so much damn anxiety while reading this book, that cigarettes (although I already smoke) became a damn necessity.
Once you’ve completed those three steps, ONLY THEN should you start this book.
Talk about a fucking roller coaster. I have never been so happy for a character, only to have my heart ripped out and fed back to me on a silver platter, as many times as I did while reading this book.
I think that’s what makes this book so epic though. Don’t get me wrong. I LOVE your typical “girl meets ONE guy, falls in love, and they live happily ever after” stories. But in this book it isn’t just ONE guy. It’s several. Getting to watch Lillian grow up and fall in love time and time again was so goddamned refreshing, because it was so REAL. Practically every woman, goes through a Nick or a Leo once in their life time. In real life, (most of the time) people don’t just have ONE amazing relationship that lasts a lifetime. They have several, and although they don’t last forever, they do shape you for a lifetime.
Kimber really does an amazing fucking job with this book. It felt as though she picked me up out of bed (my favorite reading spot) and not so gently dropped me on my ass right in the middle of Lily’s turmoil filled life.
FIVE HUGELY GIAGANTIC STARS!
Do yourself a huge fucking favor and buy this book!
